DDC Sachin Kumar Vaishya, Leads Efforts to Boost Skill Development in the District
In a proactive move towards enhancing skill development activities within the district, District Development Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, chaired a pivotal meeting. This gathering convened representatives from various departments, institutions, and organizations actively engaged in skill training, entrepreneurship development, and related initiatives. The overarching goal was to synchronize and intensify their efforts for the betterment of the community at large.
Aiming High: 12,500 Skill Development Opportunities on the Horizon
The meeting’s outcome was marked by the establishment of an ambitious target: providing approximately 12,500 skill development training opportunities. The DDC, in his capacity, allocated specific objectives to each participating organization, underscoring the significance of equipping eligible youth and adults with essential skills for self-employment.
The participants constituted a diverse spectrum of officials hailing from the Rural Development Department, PM Mahila Shakti Kendra, Industries Department, Employment and Counselling Department, SBI, RSETI, Handlooms Department, JKEDI, KVIB, Government Polytechnic, Industrial Training Institute, and several others.
Empowering Communities: A Pledge for Rural and Border Populations
In his address to the assembly, DDC Sachin Kumar Vaishya highlighted the pivotal role that rural and border populations play in the district’s development narrative. He affirmed his commitment to supporting these communities, irrespective of their geographical remoteness, by facilitating comprehensive outreach programs.
Empowering Women: Fostering Equality and Dignity
A particular focal point of the meeting was women’s empowerment. The DDC commended the talent and progressive spirit of women and emphasized the pressing need to afford them equal opportunities within the economy, thereby securing dignified livelihoods.
