Two Helicopters Collide Mid-Air in Brazil, Six Crew Members Killed

Brazil, June 15, 2026 [VoM News]: At least six people were killed after two helicopters collided mid-air and crashed in western Rio de Janeiro on Sunday morning, triggering a massive fire.

Brazilian authorities confirmed that the collision occurred in the Recreio dos Bandeirantes area. Following the collision, the helicopters plunged into the parking area of an electric vehicle dealership, setting nearly 20 parked vehicles on fire.

Rescue operations were launched immediately, while fire tenders were deployed to control the blaze. Officials said the fire was brought under control within nearly two hours.
