After Health Centre Shifting Controversy; MLA Doda Mehraj Malik Detained by Doda Police; Hints of PSA Coming
LATEST VISUALS
As Doda has become a hotspot of heated debates, another addition to the controversy is the shifting of a health centre in Kencha village of Doda district.
The latest development came into light from Dak Bungalow Doda, where MLA Doda Mehraj Malik was detained by Doda Police. Mehraj Malik, in his Facebook post, wrote, “Arrested.”
Visuals coming from Doda show police officials first stopping MLA Mehraj Malik from leaving Dak Bungalow Doda. Moments later, he was permitted to step outside but was again taken back towards the Dak Bungalow.
However, this story is breaking and developing, and more details will be added later.
It is pertinent to recall that yesterday, BMO Thathri filed an FIR against MLA Mehraj Malik and five others for stopping the administrative shifting of a health centre in Kencha village. Following this, the MLA allegedly used harsh language against the Deputy Commissioner of Doda.
Government employees have called for a pen-down strike in Doda and strongly condemned the remarks of the MLA. Renowned journalist Naeem Ul Haq Wani, Dil Bar Irshad, and several other community members have also condemned the MLA’s behaviour towards officials and advised pursuing legal remedies if anyone creates hurdles.
Sikh bodies have also condemned the MLA’s behaviour, while Bharatiya Janata Party, Congress, and DPAP have labelled it as “ridiculous behaviour” and condemned it in the strongest terms.
In his last address, Mehraj Malik claimed that the strike had taken place on the orders of the DC Doda, alleging that employees were being used. He also questioned the strike being held during working hours.
