Goods Train Coach Derails in Bihar’s Buxar District
Late on Monday night, a goods train in Bihar’s Buxar district encountered an unexpected mishap as one of its coaches derailed near Dumaron station. The incident occurred when the goods train was en route from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction to Fatuha, passing through Buxar.
As per the information provided by a railway spokesperson, the derailment affected four wheels of one of the coaches, prompting the locomotive pilot to take immediate action by applying the emergency brake, effectively halting the train’s progress.
In response to the incident, a team of senior railway officials was dispatched to the site to assess the situation and coordinate the necessary measures.
Railway personnel swiftly arrived on the scene to address the situation, focusing on efforts to restore the derailed coach to the tracks. Further details regarding the incident are currently pending, and additional updates will be provided as they become available.
This occurrence marks the second derailment incident reported in Bihar’s Buxar district within the last week. On October 11, a derailment incident involving the Kamakhya-bound North East Express resulted in the tragic loss of four lives and injuries to 42 others, underscoring the critical importance of safety and maintenance in the railway system.
