The divisional administration of Kashmir has clarified that there are no plans to re-announce summer vacations for schools in the region. Speaking to reporters, Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Vijay Kumar Bidhuri stated that the government does not intend to extend the summer break for schools.
Bidhuri emphasized that the administration has already altered the school timings to accommodate the current conditions. “We have already changed the school timing in schools of Kashmir region. Re-announcing the summer vacation is not possible for now,” he asserted.
He further explained that the decision to avoid extending the vacation is driven by the need to ensure the completion of the academic syllabus within the stipulated timeframe.
“We have to complete the syllabus of the students within the timeframe and by announcing extra vacations, we won’t be able to complete it,” Bidhuri said.
The Divisional Commissioner also mentioned that the administration is keeping a close watch on the weather situation and is prepared to make necessary adjustments if required. “The government is monitoring the weather situations and if required the administration will take a call accordingly,” he added.
This stance underscores the administration’s focus on maintaining the academic schedule and ensuring that students receive the required amount of instructional time.
By modifying school timings instead of extending vacations, the administration aims to strike a balance between accommodating environmental conditions and fulfilling educational commitments.
