
Bomb Blast in Pakistan Claims at Least 13 Lives, Leaves 70 Injured
On Friday, tragedy struck in Pakistan’s volatile Balochistan province, as a devastating explosion claimed the lives of a minimum of 13 individuals and left approximately 70 others wounded. The horrifying incident unfolded near a mosque, where a congregation had gathered to partake in a rally commemorating the birth anniversary of the esteemed Prophet Muhammad, as per reports from the media.
The explosion sent shockwaves through the Mastung district, as reported by Geo News. This heart-wrenching event transpired in close proximity to the Madina Mosque, where devout worshippers had assembled to observe Eid Miladun Nabi, a significant celebration marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad.
Providing insight into the calamity, Atta Ul Munim, the Assistant Commissioner of Mastung, described the explosion as having a “massive” impact. The incident exacted a grievous toll, resulting in the loss of at least 13 lives and inflicting injuries upon 70 others, according to a report by the Dawn newspaper.In response to the dire circumstances, Javed Lehri, the Station House Officer (SHO), confirmed the immediate transfer of the injured individuals to medical facilities.
Concurrently, an emergency status has been declared at hospitals in the region to address the pressing medical needs of the victims. Regrettably, a number of those injured find themselves in critical condition, compounding the gravity of this tragic incident.
