Bumrah Sets Record as Fastest Bowler to 150 Test Wickets in Visakhapatnam Triumph
During the Visakhapatnam Test match between India and England, held on Saturday, Jasprit Bumrah achieved a significant milestone by becoming the quickest fast bowler to reach 150+ wickets in Test cricket.
Bumrah accomplished this remarkable feat after sending down 6781 balls in the longest format of the game. Following closely, Umesh Yadav secured the second position, having bowled 7661 balls. Mohammed Shami and Kapil Dev claimed the third and fourth spots, delivering 7755 and 8378 balls, respectively.
The 30-year-old seamer etched his name in history during the second Test when he dismissed the English captain, Ben Stokes, on the second day. In the 50th over, Bumrah delivered a precise yorker that dismantled Stokes’ stumps, sending him back to the pavilion after scoring 47 runs. In England’s first innings, the vice-captain produced a stellar performance, clinching six wickets while conceding only 45 runs.
