Heritage School Jammu Thrilling Annual Scout & Guide Camp Unleashes Adventure and Learning
Heritage School Jammu, in collaboration with the Bharat Scouts and Guides unit, created an indelible mark in the realm of adventure and education by hosting its Annual Scout & Guide camp, nestled amidst the scenic beauty of Sanasar. From October 5th to October 7th, 2023, the camp provided an exhilarating experience that left an indelible mark on the 36 enthusiastic Scouts and Guides who participated.
Experienced Leadership for Unforgettable Adventures
A seasoned team of trainers from the State Headquarters of Bharat Scouts and Guides in Gandhi Nagar, Jammu, led the camp with finesse. Manjeet Kour, Shahbaz Khan, Seema Gupta, and Haroon Malik played pivotal roles in orchestrating the camp’s success.
A Medley of Adventures and Learning
The three-day extravaganza was packed with a plethora of activities that tested the mettle of the Scouts and Guides while fostering teamwork and a spirit of adventure. Activities such as camping, Burma bridge, archery, rifle shooting, and a 6-kilometer trek through the serene Sanasar terrain challenged their physical and mental prowess. The Scouts and Guides also honed their Scouting skills by learning prayers, flag songs, promises, Laws, compass navigation, and different types of knots.
Moreover, the camp introduced the innovative concept of Backwood cooking, teaching participants how to prepare meals without conventional utensils, adding a delightful and practical dimension to their learning journey.
The Annual Scout & Guide camp at Sanasar was nothing short of a triumph, combining enjoyment and education seamlessly. It not only promoted outdoor adventure but also instilled vital life skills, teamwork, and leadership qualities in the young participants, reinforcing Heritage School Jammu’s commitment to holistic development through diverse learning experiences.
