Apple Rolls Out iOS 27 Beta 3 With New Siri Voice Controls
Apple has offered the third beta of iOS 27, iPadOS 27, watchOS 27 and other software updates, this time bringing new options for dedicated Siri personalisation. There are also some extra enhancements.
In the latest iOS 27 beta, users can now customize Siri responses using two additional sliders – Pace and Expressivity. The Pace slider provides the ability to control the time it takes for Siri to reply, whereas the Expressivity option enables the customization of the tone and delivery style of the responses. It is anticipated these options will effect the way Siri replies across the range of supported applications such as Maps and Safari.
The update also includes little interface changes like a new app icon for Reminders and new indexing text in Settings. Reports also say that Apple has made the Camera app’s Siri Mode contingent on the new Siri AI.
Apple Inc. In Talks To Launch Apple Pay In India
Apple Watch users will be happy to know that watchOS 27 beta 3 introduces the standalone Siri app and broadens the offering of Siri AI to supported Apple Watch models which enables access to the assistant from the clock without using the iPhone.
Apple also upgraded AudioAccessoryKit so that third-party headphone manufacturers can show accessories-related info on device, and allowing fixed spatial audio. Several bugs were fixed after the previous beta, but apple said in the release note “the system may still take longer than usual for dictation and Siri responses if your device is overheating or if network conditions are suboptimal”.
Those are the latest beta builds released to to those who signed up, shortly before the about to be released to the general public in the later part of 2011.
