Andhra Pradesh: MUV Rams Into Parked Lorry; Four Dead, Seven Hurt
PALNADU, June 26: A massive crash involving a multi-utility vehicle (MUV) killing four passengers and leaving seven injured occurred on the Srisailam Road near Nagaram locality in Macherla town, Palnadu district, on Friday morning.
Police said that the four victims were on their way to Markapuram district to attend the funeral of an acquaintance in Pamuru town from Hyderabad when the mishap happened.
The stationary lorry that they rammed into had been parked on the side of the road because of a tire burst.

The MUV carrying 11 people (within its carrying capacity) failed to notice the vehicle on a curve on the Srisailam Road and hit its rear with force.
The deceased include two men and two women. However, the seven injured victims, who all suffered some fractures, are not in a critical state, police added.
A case has been registered under Sections 106(1) and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, an inquiry into the incident has been initiated by the police.
