    Labourer Killed After Being Hit by Vehicle from J&K Deputy CM’s Convoy in Jammu

    Jammu, Aug. 9 [VoM News]: As per media reports, a labourer lost his life after being struck by a vehicle from the convoy of Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary.

    The reports say the unfortunate accident occurred near the Royal Furniture Showroom in Satwari late on Saturday night.

    Meanwhile, it has been reported that the vehicle, bearing registration number JK01AD-2158, was returning after dropping the Deputy Chief Minister at his residence in Kunjwani when it hit the pedestrian.

    The victim was identified as Bharat Kapas, son of Faquir Kapas, a native of Bihar who was residing in Model Town, Gangyal, Jammu.

    He was immediately shifted to a hospital for treatment but later succumbed to his injuries.

    Meanwhile, police have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the accident.
