Fire at Aramco Jazan Refinery in Saudi Arabia Extinguished: Saudi Energy Ministry

August 09, 2026 [VoM News]: A facility within the Aramco Jazan refinery in Saudi Arabia, where the fire incident took place, has been douzed off, the Saudi authorities have stated.

As per Reuters report, the firefighters extinguished a fire that broke out early Sunday.

Meanwhile, Saudi Energy Ministry said has released a statement stating that the firefighters brought the fire under control, and there are no injuries.

However, the reason behind this fire incident has not been disclosed yet, but the location of Jazan refinery on the Red Sea near Yemini border gives the indication of a Youthi attack as claimed by rebels.

Prior to this, the Houthi rebels had claimed the strike on Saudi energy infrastructure, and Aramco President and CEO Amin Nasser also made a temporary production disruptions remarks by the recent attacks.

The political pundits are eyeing on the recently nato-styled signed defense pact between Pakistan, Turkey and Saudi Arabia to counter the attacks.
