ERO Inspects Camps for Electoral Roll Revision in Kishtwar’s 48-Inderwal

Kishtwar, August 4, 2024 In an ongoing effort to ensure accuracy in the voter database, ERO 48-Inderwal/ACR Kishtwar, Idrees Lone JKAS, conducted inspections of special camps held under the Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls 2024 in the 48-Inderwal Assembly Constituency.
The initiative, overseen by District Election Officer (DEO) Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav IAS, aims to update and correct voter information ahead of the upcoming elections.
ERO Idrees Lone was joined by AERO Mughal Maidan/Tehsildar Mughal Maidan Parvez Ahmed and AERO/Tehsildar Chatroo Shuja Hamid Bandey during these inspections.
The focus was on ensuring that Booth Level Officers (BLOs) are effectively enrolling new voters and updating existing voter records, including adding, correcting, or deleting entries where necessary.
The special camps, held over two days on August 3rd and 4th, were organized across the district with the participation of BLOs at various polling stations.
ERO Idrees Lone visited several key locations, including HSS Chatroo, MS Diller, HS Damber, Panchayat Ghar Nariyan, and MS Horna.
During these visits, he reviewed the documentation and processes related to forms 6, 7, 8, and 8A, which are critical for the accuracy of the electoral rolls.
Emphasizing the importance of accurate voter data, ERO Lone and his team interacted with local voters to explain the ongoing Summary Revision process.
He urged all eligible voters to take advantage of the final days of the special camps to ensure their information is correctly registered in the electoral rolls, underscoring the importance of active voter participation in the democratic process.
