European Commission activates satellite mapping to assist with search efforts for helicopter
The European Commission has activated its Copernicus Emergency Management Service to support the search efforts for the missing helicopter in Iran. This action follows a request for assistance from Iran.
Janez Lenarcic, the European Commissioner for Crisis Management, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that the rapid response mapping service, which utilizes satellite imagery, is being deployed to aid in locating the helicopter.

Saudi Arabia and Turkey have expressed their readiness to assist in the search and rescue operations following the helicopter incident involving Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi.
Search Team Lead Remains Hopeful as Contact Was Made with Helicopter
The lead of the search team, Mohsen Mansouri, noted that contact was made with the helicopter after the incident, suggesting the severity might not be very high. Two individuals on the flight reached out multiple times, providing hope to the search efforts. Currently, 65 Red Crescent teams are actively searching the area.
Sources Say United States is Aware of Incident, While No Official Word from the UK
Sources have indicated that the United States is aware of the helicopter incident. However, there has been no official statement from the United Kingdom regarding the situation.
Whereas, as weather seems dense foggy and it’s raining, may stop create hurdles of search and rescue operation.
