Tragic Road Accident Claims Woman’s Life in Awantipora
A woman tragically lost her life, and seven others sustained injuries in a devastating road accident that occurred in Awantipora, a region nestled in South Kashmir’s Pulwama District. The incident, which took place at Chursoo Awantipora, left the community in shock and mourning on Sunday.
Fatalities and Injuries
The accident resulted in eight individuals sustaining injuries, prompting immediate medical attention. They were swiftly transported to the PHC Awantipora for urgent treatment. However, despite the efforts of medical personnel, one victim, identified as Sumi Jan, wife of Mudasir Ahmad Ganie from Panzgam, was tragically declared brought dead upon arrival at the medical facility.
Medical Response and Condition of Victims
At the PHC Awantipora, medical professionals provided care to the injured. Among them, three patients required further medical attention and were consequently referred to the SMHS Hospital in Srinagar. Fortunately, four of the injured individuals were deemed stable and received treatment at the PHC, offering a glimmer of hope amidst the tragedy.
