Addressing the gathering in Balloh village, Bathinda district, the leaders emphasized the intensification of the ongoing agitation at existing protest points. They urged farmers from Punjab and Haryana to sustain their support at Shambhu and Khanauri border points, while simultaneously encouraging counterparts from other states to join the Delhi protest on March 6.

Sarwan Pandher conveyed that farmers from distant states, unable to reach on tractor trolleys, should converge in Delhi via trains and other modes of transport. He highlighted the critical importance of the government’s stance on allowing farmers without tractor trolleys to enter the capital.

Both forums announced a nationwide ‘rail roko’ protest scheduled from 12 pm to 4 pm on March 10, aiming to exert pressure on the government to meet the farmers’ demands. Sarwan Pandher urged Punjab panchayats to pass resolutions in support of the cause, ensuring that every village sends a tractor trolley to the protest border points.

Sarwan Pandher criticized the government’s use of drones, comparing it to the tactics employed by Haryana Police. He accused the Centre of attempting to limit the agitation to Punjab and asserted that over 200 outfits nationwide are part of the movement. Alleging divisive politics by the BJP, he affirmed that the fight for farmers’ rights would persist despite challenges.
In a resolute tone, Jagjit Dallewal emphasized the ongoing fight, stating that the agitation extends beyond Punjab, as evidenced by the imposition of a quasi-curfew on Haryana borders.

Sarwan Pandher dismissed speculations that the agitation might wane when Model Code of Conduct comes into force, asserting that the fight for farmers’ rights would persist. Additionally, he reiterated the call for India to withdraw from the WTO agreement. Jagjit Dallewal concluded with a resolute commitment, stating that the fight would persist until their demands are met, commemorating the sacrifice of Shubhakaran Singh.
