
Iran-US War LIVE Updates June 25 – 2026: Rubio Heads to Gulf, IAEA Head bats for Nuclear Inspections
VoM News Desk, June 25, 2026 [VoM News]: Amid the negotiations with Iran, the US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is heading to Gulf countries as Washington seeks to reassure regional partners.
Rafael Grossi, who heads the International Atomic Energy Agency stated that the visits, inspections to Iranian nuclear facilities would proceed under the recently signed memorandum of understanding.
Buut, the Iran has made crystall clear that any inspections would be considered only as part of a final agreement with the United States, underscoring continuing differences between the two sides.
The maritime traffic through the key energy route i.e. Strait of Hormuz has continued to recover under a UN-backed arrangement to evacuate about 11,000 seafarers stranded during the earlier disruption.
Earlier, the route remained critical for global oil and liquefied natural gas supplies, affecting the global economy brutally.
Adding the further tensions, two people were killed in an Israeli strike in Nabatieh, Lebanon according to reports. Israel’s defence minister said Israeli forces would not leave southern Lebanon, even if Washington called for a withdrawal.
Meanwhile, Lebanese and Israeli officials are continuing talks in Washington. The United States has proposed creating pilot areas in which Israeli forces would hand over territory to vetted units of the Lebanese army, an arrangement intended to test a phased security transition and reduce the risk of renewed fighting.

Israeli attack leaves 3 dead in Nabatieh, south Lebanon
The health ministry of Lebanon reports that three were killed and one was injured in a strike by the Israelis against a car in Mefdoun, district of Nabatiem.
Iran, an ally of Hezballah, has threatened and warned Israel to cease its attack or otherwise it will react. Urgent international pressure mounting on Israel to remove its troops which is another precondition set by Teheran while in negotiations with Washington.
US, Iran to Establish Direct IRGC Channel in Doha, Vance Says
US Vice President JD Vance says Washington and Tehran have agreed to create a direct channel involving Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and US military officials to reduce the risk of further escalation.
In an interview with UnHerd, Vance said representatives from the IRGC and United States Central Command would meet in Doha to address disputes and prevent misunderstandings from escalating into conflict.
Vance also said the United Arab Emirates has opened new channels of communication with Iran, including contacts with the IRGC. He said discussions involve possible economic incentives aimed at supporting de-escalation.
Israel says it will keep occupying zones in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza
Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz says Israel will continue occupying areas of Lebanon, Syria and Gaza, rejecting pressure to withdraw from territory its military has seized.
Katz said Israel opposed leaving what it calls a “security zone” in Lebanon and added that Israeli forces would remain in similar zones in Syria and Gaza for as long as it deemed necessary.
Iran-US War LIVE Updates June 25, 2026: Palestinian Man Killed in West Bank Raid; Israeli Soldier Dies in Southern Lebanon
A Palestinian man was killed by Israeli gunfire during a raid in the village of Sarta, west of Salfit in the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
Local sources said 32-year-old Mustafa Taha Mustafa al-Khatib was shot dead after Israeli forces entered his home and opened fire.
Separately, the Israeli military said Major Basel Suaid, 32, was killed during what it described as operational activity in southern Lebanon.
