Three ICC Judges File Lawsuit Trump Administration Over ‘Unlawful’ Sanctions in Manhattan Court

Challenging sanctions imposed by the Trump administration last year, three judges of the International Criminal Court have filed a lawsuit in a Manhattan federal court, according to details available with VoM News.

Reports state that the judges include Kimberly Prost, Solomy Balungi Bossa, and Reine Alapini-Gansou. They argue that the measures amount to unlawful pressure on the court and its members.

Their lawsuit further alleges that the sanctions were intended to punish them for judicial decisions involving Israel and the United States, including arrest warrants issued for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the court’s investigation into alleged war crimes by US forces in Afghanistan.
