As Mystery Deepens of Unexplained Deaths, Disappearances of US Scientists, Multiple Agencies Probing
WASHINGTON, APRIL 23, (VoM News): The Donald Trump administration has tasked multiple investigative agencies to unearth the mystery of serious deaths and disappearances of top scientists, according to reliable reports.
As per details available with VoM News, the cases involve top scientists linked to sensitive US research programmes, after which a probe is underway.
This has raised serious concerns within the security establishment in Washington, and the mystery is yet to be uncovered.
Details further state that the administration of Donald Trump has tasked multiple agencies with examining whether the incidents are connected.
The probe is being led by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, in coordination with the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, and local authorities to trace every detail related to the disappearances.
The cases span several high-profile institutions, including the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Los Alamos National Laboratory, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, California Institute of Technology, and the Kansas City National Security Campus.
Among the notable cases, astrophysicist Carl Grillmair was found dead at his home in California. He had worked on key space observation programmes, including NEOWISE.
Similarly, in another case, aerospace engineer Monica Reza, associated with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, disappeared during a hike in 2025 and remains untraced.
General William Neil McCasland, a retired US Air Force Major General, also went missing earlier this year under unexplained circumstances.
Additionally, two researchers from Los Alamos, Melissa Casias and Anthony Chavez, vanished in separate incidents in 2025.
These incidents have also drawn political attention, with the House Oversight Committee launching a parallel inquiry and seeking briefings from key federal agencies, including NASA and the Defense Department.
Despite the heightened concern, security experts caution against drawing premature conclusions.
Analysts say that the cases are spread over time and involve individuals from different organisations, with no confirmed evidence so far of a coordinated pattern.
