The Department of Social Welfare and the Department of Youth Services & Sports in Doda organized an inspiring Inter-Block District Level Girls Volleyball Tournament, as part of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative.
This event saw participation from talented young athletes across 17 blocks, showcasing their skills and promoting gender equality through sports.
The tournament was graced by the presence of several dignitaries, including Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh. In his address, Singh emphasized the significance of such initiatives for the holistic development and empowerment of girls, highlighting the critical role sports play in fostering confidence and leadership among young women.
The event was organized with the aim of not only encouraging sports participation among girls but also raising awareness about gender equality.
