Despite recent worries regarding low attendance during a match against Pakistan, Cricket Australia, in collaboration with Western Australia, aims to bolster attendance at Perth’s stadium.

Optimism for Enhanced Attendance Amid India and England Tours

Sources close to the board, speaking anonymously, underscore the priority of revitalizing Test cricket in Perth. The 60,000-seat Perth Stadium has previously experienced subdued attendance during Test seasons, contrasting with the vibrant atmosphere of Perth Scorchers’ BBL matches.

Anticipation is high for increased attendance, with India and England scheduled to tour Australia in the next two years. Commencing the series in Perth, followed by a day-night Test in Adelaide, aims to maximize primetime exposure leading up to the Big Bash on Channel Seven and Fox.

Series Venue Line-Up Reflects Iconic Cricket Grounds
