In the semi-final round, Rankireddy and Chirag faced a formidable challenge from the current world champions, Kang Minhyuk and Seo Seungjae of South Korea. Undeterred, the Indian duo exhibited their exceptional skills, defeating the world champions 21-13, 21-16 in two straight games to secure a spot in their third French Open final.
The first game posed a tough challenge, with the scores level at 5-5 initially. However, Satwiksairaj and Chirag showcased their prowess by winning six consecutive points, setting the tone for the match. The second game saw the Indian pair maintaining their momentum, gaining an early lead that proved insurmountable for Kang and Seo. Despite attempts by the world champions to stage a comeback, the Indians emerged victorious, wrapping up the match in just 40 minutes.
