
Indian Rupee Closes at 83.23 Against US Dollar; Sensex and Nifty Surge on Positive Global Indicators
In the forex market today, the Indian rupee concluded at 83 rupees and 23 paise in comparison to the US dollar. The dollar index, signifying the strength of the US currency against a basket of six other prominent currencies, reached 106.29 during intra-day trading.
On the domestic front, the BSE Sensex surpassed the 66,100 mark, while the NSE Nifty added 52 points to settle at 19,716 points.
SEBI Approves Fincare Small Finance Bank’s IPO
These key domestic indices achieved marginal gains, propelled by favorable global cues. Specifically, the Sensex recorded a gain of 173 points, equivalent to 0.26 percent, closing at 66,119, while the Nifty increased by 52 points, or 0.26 percent, concluding at 19,716 points.
