14 Killed in Aramco Helicopter Crash in Ras Tanura Saudi Arabia
An Aramco helicopter crashed in Saudi Arabia’s oil port of Ras Tanura on Sunday, killing 14, the Saudi state news agency reported.
All the victims of the helicopter accident were Saudi nationals, the agency said.
“The Ministry of Energy regrets to announce that a helicopter operated by Saudi Aramco crashed in Ras Tanura on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at approximately 6:00 am. The accident resulted in the martyrdom of all 14 individuals on board, all of whom were Saudi nationals,” the official Saudi Press Agency said in a statement.

The cause of the accident was unknown, the agency said, adding that investigations were continuing.
“Investigations are underway, with the participation of relevant authorities, to determine the causes of the helicopter crash,” the state news agency added.
Ras Tanura is on the western coast of the Strait of Hormuz. The world’s top oil exporter Saudi Aramco said on Friday that it had resumed shipping crude oil at its Ras Tanura export terminal following an almost four-month halt amid the escalating US-Israel-Iran war in the Middle East.
Saudi Arabia has joined a flow of producers ramping up crude oil and gas output and exports following an interim ceasefire in the war between the United States and Iran.
