
Samajwadi Party Leader Among Three Arrested in Mathura Cybercrime Racket.
In a significant development, the Uttar Pradesh Police, in a collaborative operation, apprehended three individuals, including a prominent Samajwadi Party leader from Mathura, for their involvement in an elaborate cybercrime scheme masquerading as a public service center.
Arrest of Samajwadi Party Leader and Associates
Samajwadi Party leader Munna Malik, along with his associates Kamaruddin and Ravi, has been taken into custody by the police. This arrest comes as a substantial breakthrough in the fight against cybercrime in the region.
Unmasking the Cybercrime Operation
According to SSP Shailesh Kumar Pandey, the arrested individuals were involved in operating a cyber cafe and public service center that specialized in creating polymer impressions of Aadhar cards and thumbprints for visiting customers. These counterfeit documents were then supplied to interstate cybercriminals and ration dealers.

Cracking Down on the Network
Law enforcement had been receiving intelligence reports for an extended period, indicating that fraudulent Aadhaar cards and cybercrimes were being perpetrated through the Jan Seva Kendra. In response, the City Kotwali Police, in conjunction with the SWAT team, launched an operation that led to the arrest of SP leader Councilor Munna Malik and Kamaruddin. Ravi was also apprehended and subsequently incarcerated.
Seized Evidence Paints a Disturbing Picture
During the operation, the police confiscated an array of incriminating evidence. This included fake coins, a letter pad, a laptop, 40 counterfeit copies of Aadhaar cards, approximately 140 duplicate thumb impressions, two thumb readers, an ATM swipe machine, and a sum of cash.
Exploiting Aadhaar Cards for Further Crimes
The criminals were not only involved in producing fraudulent documents but also utilized these counterfeit Aadhaar cards to facilitate other criminal activities. They provided fake SIM cards to cybercriminals and participated in the creation of fake passports. This exploitation of Aadhaar cards led to numerous instances of cyber fraud.

A case has been officially registered, and the police are actively pursuing further investigations. Authorities have asserted their commitment to apprehending all individuals connected to this criminal network, sending a clear message that cybercrime will not be tolerated in the region.
