Ladakh Employees Enjoy 4% DA-Boost
The Government of Ladakh’s Union Territory has announced a 4 percent increase in the Dearness Allowance (DA) for both its employees and pensioners.
In accordance with a directive from the Finance Department issued on Tuesday, and in compliance with the Ministry of Finance’s Department of Expenditure, Government of India, OM No.1/4/2023-E-II(B) dated October 20, 2023, the Dearness Allowance for employees in Ladakh UT is set to be elevated from the current rate of 42 percent to 46 percent of the basic pay.

This adjustment will take effect from July 1st, 2023. The term ‘basic pay’ will be determined in line with the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission and will exclude any additional ‘special pay’ received by the employees.
