
Committee Formed to Review S.O. 133 of 2022 on MTS Recruitment in Jammu Kashmir
Government of Jammu and Kashmir has constituted a committee to review the provisions of S.O. 133 of 2022 concerning the recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) in the Union Territory.
According to Government Order No. 319-JK(GAD) of 2026 issued by the General Administration Department on March 12, 2026, the committee will examine the existing provisions and propose measures to address departmental concerns regarding the recruitment process for MTS posts.
The committee will be chaired by the Administrative Secretary of the Finance Department. Other members include the Administrative Secretary of the General Administration Department, the Administrative Secretary of the Skill Development Department, and the Administrative Secretary of the Department of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
As per the terms of reference, the panel has been tasked with comprehensively reviewing S.O. 133 of 2022 dated March 29, 2022, along with relevant statutes, to suggest appropriate measures related to the recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff through recruiting agencies.
The committee will also review the minimum and maximum qualification criteria and recommend specific qualifications or skill tests to ensure that recruitment meets the manpower requirements of various government departments.
The order was issued by Commissioner/Secretary to the Government M. Raju. The committee will be serviced by the General Administration Department.
Copies of the order have been forwarded to senior officials, including the Principal Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor, the Joint Secretary (J&K) in the Ministry of Home Affairs, and other concerned departments for necessary action.
