    Breaking the shatters, now, the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) has expressed serious concern over reports of excessive force and detention of advocates, including women lawyers, during a protest near the Supreme Court premises in New Delhi on Saturday.

    The Supreme Court Bar Association has stated in a resolution dated October 10, that it condemned the alleged police action against senior and young advocates participating in the demonstration.

    The SCBA urged the Chief Justice of India to intervene immediately and take up the matter with the authorities concerned to establish the whereabouts and ensure the safety of detained advocates.

    It also demanded that detained lawyers be provided access to legal assistance and that those held without lawful grounds be released immediately.

    The association further sought an examination of the circumstances surrounding the reported detentions and alleged excessive force, along with appropriate action under the law.

    The mass detention in Delhi protest has gained the global attention as the United Nations Human Rights Office also issues the concerns over the excessive use of force, internet restrictions and mass detention.

    As there were reports of 30,000 detention across the capital city, Delhi. Sone footages shows that activists, even journalists who were reporting liev from the spot were detained.
