Bovine Smuggling Bid Foiled By Jammu Police ; 30 Bovines Rescued, Vehicle Seized
JAMMU, 11-04-2025: Under the ongoing Operation Kamdhenu, Jammu & Kashmir Police have intensified their crackdown on bovine smuggling. In a significant development, the police team of Police Post Pounichak successfully foiled a smuggling attempt, rescuing 30 bovines from vehicle bearing registration numbers JK02 AC7818 at Pacca Gharaat Gole Gujral.
The driver of the vehicle managed to flee from spot.
Accordingly, the FIR have been registered U/S 94/2025 under sections 223/BNS and 11 PCA Act at Police Station Domana.
The general public has appreciated the proactive and consistent efforts of the police in curbing bovine smuggling and ensuring the enforcement of law and order in the region.
