    JK Govt Releases Final Seniority List of Private Secretaries Cadre in Secretariat

    Jammu, Jan 31, 2025 – The General Administration Department (GAD) of Jammu and Kashmir has officially released the final seniority list of members in the J&K Secretariat (Gazetted) Service-II (Private Secretaries Cadre) as of November 1, 2024.

    This follows a tentative seniority list issued earlier via Government Order No. 1970-JK(GAD) of 2024 on November 25, 2024.

    The final seniority list, notified through Government Order No. 164-JK(GAD) of 2025, incorporates rectifications and modifications based on objections and representations submitted by concerned members within the stipulated 21-day period from the issuance of the tentative list.

    The government order approves the following changes after due examination.

    Smt. Babita Kumari Pandita (Private Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department) – Requested a correction in her name to Babeeta Kumari, Shri Farooq Ahmad Banday (Private Secretary, Department of Culture) – Sought rectification of his Date of Birth to April 1, 1966, Shri Ashok Kumar (Private Secretary, Housing & Urban Development Department) – Requested inclusion of his RBA (Reserved Backward Area) status in the final list, Shri Masroof Sultan Guroo (Private Secretary, Office of Chief Conservator of Forests, Kashmir) – Applied for correction of his name to Masroof Sultan.

    The General Administration Department (GAD) confirmed that the above representations were thoroughly examined, verified, and deemed substantiated on merit. Consequently, these corrections have been incorporated into the final seniority list, which now stands officially notified.

    Additionally, the government emphasized that Date of Birth records in the seniority list are subject to further verification against official service books and matriculation certificates of the concerned officers.
