The Oppo Find X8 series is set to launch on October 24, 2024, in China. Ahead of its official debut, a leaked video has revealed key design elements and AI-powered features of the upcoming smartphone. The Oppo Find X8 will run on the company’s latest operating system based on Android 15, and some of its artificial intelligence (AI) functionalities will be integrated into this OS.

Design Teaser

In the leaked video, the Oppo Find X8 is shown with a sleek design featuring a flat frame and rounded corners. The display is expected to have minimal bezels, maximizing the screen’s viewing area. At the back, the phone sports a large circular camera module, similar to the Oppo Find X7.

AI Features

Powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8400 chipset with an AI Engine, the Find X8 will offer several AI-driven functionalities. One notable feature is its ability to intelligently analyze a user’s schedule through their calendar and create customized itineraries. Additionally, the phone will come with generative AI capabilities, including a sticker generator that creates stickers based on text prompts for use in instant messaging apps. The AI Engine may also extend support to third-party apps, although specific details are still under wraps.

Expected Specifications

Leaked specifications suggest that the Oppo Find X8 will come with a 6.5-inch BOE display with 1.5K resolution and thin bezels, along with a glass rear panel. The phone is expected to house a triple rear camera setup, led by a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor. The Find X8 will reportedly be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, with up to 16GB of LPDDR5T RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. A 5,700mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging via USB Type-C is also anticipated.
