Pakistan Air Force Officer Shot Dead While Trying to Stop Alleged Abduction in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD, July 6 [VoM News]: In a bid to stop the attempted abduction of a woman in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, a Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officer was shot dead after allegedly, as per reports available with VoM News.

The incident took place when a man riding a motorcycle allegedly tried to forcibly take away a woman who was reportedly his office colleague, reveals the preliminary police reports.

Reports say that Group Captain Asim, who was passing through the area, noticed the incident and stepped in to help the woman.

Police said the accused got into an argument with the officer before allegedly pulling out a handgun and opening fire. Group Captain Asim sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

The suspect fled immediately after the shooting. Police have launched a manhunt and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident. The identity of the accused has not been officially disclosed.
