    In preparation for the upcoming Jammu & Kashmir Assembly Elections 2024, a comprehensive training session was conducted today at the Community Hall in Bhaderwah.

    The event drew participation from designated polling staff across the region, who were equipped with essential knowledge and skills for managing the election process effectively.

    The training program was supervised by Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Manish Kumar Manhas, who played a crucial role in guiding the participants through the various aspects of election management.

    He emphasized the importance of strict adherence to the Election Commission of India’s guidelines, particularly in handling Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trails (VVPATs).

    His supervision ensured that the staff understood the critical role they play in maintaining the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

    Master Trainer Dr. Akhter Hussain provided a detailed presentation, focusing on the proper conduct of the election process. He highlighted the importance of the accurate identification of voters and the careful handling of EVMs.

    Dr. Hussain’s session aimed to enhance the staff’s competence and preparedness for any challenges they might face during the election.

    The training concluded with an interactive Q&A session, where participants had the opportunity to seek clarifications on procedural details.

    This segment was particularly useful for addressing specific concerns and ensuring that all staff members are on the same page regarding their responsibilities.

    Assembly Nodal Officer Dr. Nazir Ahmed, along with other trainers, also contributed to the training, making it a well-rounded and informative session for all attendees.
