Controversy In Madhya Pradesh Following the Rejection of Nomination Papers of Meenakshi Natarajan, Congress moves Apex Court
Bhopal, June 11, 2026 [VoM News]’: The controversy has began in Madhya Pradesh after the rejection of nomination papers of senior congres leader Meenakshi Natarajan and the fiasco seems moving forward as Congress party has approached to the supreme court regarding the matter.
Earlier to this, the Returning Officer rejected the nomination papers of Meenakshi Natarajan following the objections raised by the Bhartiya Janta Party. The objections being said that Meenakshi Natarajan failed to reveal/disclose the details of a legal matter linked to Telangana in her affadavit.
Meanwhile, the senior congress leader has denied the allegations stating the attempt as politically motivated to block the candidature as neither FIR has been registered against her nor any criminal case is under her name.

The Congress party has strongly objected to the decision and accuses the election officials of falling prey to political pressure.
The Natarajan has labelled the Returning officials as being compromised and acting as per ruling establishment’s choice.
The party has maintained the clearcut stance that the election laws require disclosure only of of pending criminal cases which is not an obligation for her to mention in affadavit.
As the party approached to the apex court. The matter is expected to be mentioned before the court’s vacation bench for an urgent hearing
