    National Democratic Alliance Emerges Victorious on All 4 Rajya Sabha Seats Unopposed in Andhra Pradesh

    Amaravati, June 12, 2026 [VoM News]: The National Democratic Alliance in Andhra Pradesh has emerged victorious on all four Rajya Sabha seats, with all candidates elected unopposed, marking a major political gain for the alliance. No opposition candidate filed nominations for the vacant seats.

    Sana Sathish Babu, Bhashyam Ramakrishna and Chintakayala Vijay of the Telugu Desam Party, along with Lingamaneni Ramesh of the Jana Sena Party, were elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha.

    The elections for the Rajya Sabha seats were scheduled to be held on June 18. However, as no opposition candidate filed nominations, all four NDA candidates were declared elected unopposed.

    The NDA in Andhra Pradesh currently enjoys overwhelming support in the 175-member Assembly. The TDP holds 135 seats, Jana Sena Party has 21 seats, and the Bharatiya Janata Party holds 8 seats, while the opposition has only 11 MLAs in the Assembly.
