DSEK Sets New School Timings for Kashmir, Effective August 12
The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has announced new school timings for both government and recognized private schools in the Kashmir Division. These updated schedules will take effect starting Monday, August 12.
The primary goal of these changes is to better align school hours with the seasonal needs of the region, ensuring greater convenience for both students and staff. By adjusting the timing, DSEK aims to create a more suitable environment for learning during the varying conditions of the year.
As per the official orders, schools within the Srinagar Municipal limits will now operate from 9 AM to 3 PM. Meanwhile, educational institutions located outside the municipal limits of Srinagar District, as well as those in other areas of the Kashmir Province, will remain open from 10 AM to 4 PM.
All concerned institutions have been instructed to strictly adhere to the new timings. Authorities will monitor compliance closely to ensure that these changes are implemented effectively. This move is part of DSEK’s ongoing efforts to enhance the educational environment and streamline school operations throughout the region.
