LemFi, a leading fintech platform catering to immigrants, has introduced its international payment services from Canada and the United Kingdom to India. Later this year, the service will also be available from the US to India. LemFi facilitates instant transfers at competitive exchange rates with no fees on transfers or account maintenance.
Recognizing the challenges immigrants face in accessing financial services, LemFi embarked on a mission to simplify remittance payments, starting with Africa in 2020. Since then, it has expanded its services to additional countries across Africa, Asia, and Europe from the US, UK, and Canada. Today, LemFi enables instant payments to India and 21 other countries for newcomers to their respective host countries.
Philip Daniel, Head of Global Expansion & India at LemFi, expressed enthusiasm about the India service launch, highlighting its significance for the Indian diaspora in North America and Europe. With India being a significant recipient of remittances, LemFi aims to establish itself as the preferred partner for cross-border payment needs among the Indian population abroad. LemFi envisions extending its India service to markets like Europe and the Middle East in the future, further solidifying its position as a trusted international payment app.
