AAP Unveils Massive Protest Following Arvind Kejriwal’s Detainment
A day prior to the scheduled mega march to protest against the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi emphasized the unity of the opposition parties in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections. This statement follows concerns of a potential division within the INDIA alliance, a coalition formed to challenge the ruling BJP in the upcoming elections.
“Atishi reaffirmed the cohesion of the INDIA alliance, stating, ‘When the (Arvind Kejriwal) arrest occurred, prominent Congress leaders stood in solidarity. All members of the alliance raised their voices against this injustice,'” Atishi expressed during a press conference.

She further condemned the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal, denoting it as an assault on democracy. The opposition vows to amplify their dissent during the impending protest.
Arvind Kejriwal’s recent arrest by the Enforcement Directorate, related to an alleged money laundering case associated with the Delhi liquor policy, has sparked outrage. The case revolves around accusations of corruption and money laundering in the formulation and execution of the Delhi government’s excise policy for 2021-22, subsequently annulled.
AAP, alongside other opposition leaders, is poised to take to the streets of Delhi in protest. Notable figures within the INDIA bloc, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Sharad Pawar, Uddhav Thackeray, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, are expected to participate in the ‘maha rally’ at Ramlila Maidan.

Gopal Rai, a prominent AAP leader, anticipates a significant turnout for the protest.
