She announced the formation of a three-member committee of ministers to engage in negotiations with the protestors. Sitharaman emphasized Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s continuous efforts for farmers’ well-being but faced resistance from the protesting farmers.

Amid the tensions, Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait emphasized the need for resolution through dialogue. Tikait underlined the vital role played by those living in forest areas in protecting the environment and called for continuous talks with the Centre to find a solution to the ongoing crisis.
