The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JK DMA) has released an avalanche alert for regions situated above 2400 meters in Bandipora, Baramulla, Ganderbal, Kupwara, Doda, Kishtwar, Poonch, and Ramban districts.
The risk level is categorized as MEDIUM, and residents are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution, refraining from traveling to areas prone to avalanches for the next 24 hours.
Emphasizing the significance of preventive measures, the JKDMA urges individuals in these districts to avoid entering hazardous zones until further notification. The statement also directs residents to dial 112 for assistance and to stay informed about the situation.
