The massive fire that engulfed a cosmetics factory in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district is now under control, confirmed Himachal Pradesh Director General of Police Sanjay Kundu. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) is conducting external examinations of the building, with an SIT formed to conduct a detailed probe. The plant manager has been arrested, admitting that approximately 85 people were inside during the incident. One fatality has been reported, 30 individuals are hospitalized, and nine remain missing. The SIT, led by Additional SP Ashok, aims to gather evidence and establish clarity on the incident.


SIT to Investigate Massive Fire in Himachal Cosmetic Factory

A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been constituted to investigate the massive fire at a cosmetic factory in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan district. The SIT, headed by experienced Additional SP Ashok, includes DSP and the SHO under whose jurisdiction the fire occurred. Himachal Pradesh DGP Sanjay Kundu stated that the SIT will meticulously examine the incident, which involved a significant number of people. Operations to trace nine missing individuals are ongoing, and the forensic science team is set to collect evidence once the NDRF completes external examinations of the building.


Arrested Plant Manager Admits 85 People Inside During Fire

The arrested plant manager in the Himachal cosmetic factory fire case has admitted that approximately 85 people were inside the building when the fire broke out. Himachal Pradesh DGP Sanjay Kundu provided an update, stating that one fatality has been confirmed, 30 people are hospitalized, and nine remain missing. The ongoing investigation, led by the SIT, aims to shed light on the incident. The police and hospital authorities have released a list of 23 patients admitted after the fire, and efforts are underway to locate the missing individuals and gather clarity on the situation.
