A tragic incident unfolded in Solan, Himachal Pradesh, as a massive fire erupted at the NR Aroma perfume factory, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to 31 individuals. The fire broke out at 2:45 pm on Friday and is yet to be brought under control. The factory, located in Solan’s Baddi area, faced challenges in containment due to the inflammable substances used in cosmetics production catching fire.

Magisterial Inquiry Initiated as 13 Remain Missing

Deputy Commissioner of Solan, Manmohan Sharma, revealed that around 50 people were present in the building during the incident. While some managed to escape, 13 individuals are still missing. A magisterial inquiry has been launched to investigate the circumstances surrounding the fire. The use of flammable materials for manufacturing perfumes and cosmetics has complicated firefighting efforts.

NDRF, SDRF, and Other Teams Collaborate in Rescue Operations

Various agencies, including the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), police, and revenue teams, are actively engaged in rescue operations. Eyewitnesses reported workers jumping from the building’s first and second floors to evade the fire, resulting in multiple injuries. Investigations are underway, and a forensic team has been deployed to determine the cause of the fire.
