    Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal presided over an extensive review session today to gauge the advancement of power sector initiatives within the district.

    The primary objective of the meeting was to assess the current status of power sector projects initiated under various funding streams, including the District capital expenditure (capex) budget, Union Territory (UT) capex, District Development Council (DDC), Block Development Council (BDC), Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) grants, Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP), and Saubhagya Scheme for household electrification (SSY).

    It was reported that a total of 168 projects have received approval, with an impressive 38 projects already reaching completion. These endeavors are aimed at reinforcing essential infrastructure to ensure a continuous and reliable power supply for the residents of Rajouri.
