Blue Star Share Price Surges Over 10% to 52-Week High After QIP Announcement
Blue Star’s share price experienced a significant surge, rising over 10% to reach a fresh 52-week high in early trading on Wednesday. The surge followed the company’s announcement of a qualified institutional placement (QIP) issue to raise funds. Blue Star shares reached a high of ₹884.75 apiece on the BSE.
Details of Blue Star’s QIP
Blue Star has set the floor price for the QIP at ₹784.55 per share, which represents nearly a 2% discount to Monday’s closing price of ₹800 per share. The company’s board had previously approved a proposal to raise up to ₹1,000 crore through QIPs or other suitable methods in one or more tranches, as announced during its Q1FY24 results.
The funds raised through this QIP will support Blue Star’s aspirational growth plans. The company plans to issue equity shares, fully or partly convertible debentures, non-convertible debentures, and/or other financial instruments convertible into equity shares to raise the capital.
Blue Star’s executive management committee is scheduled to hold a meeting on September 22 to consider and approve the issue price for the QIP.
Blue Star’s Recent Stock Performance
Blue Star’s share price has demonstrated strong performance in recent weeks, with a gain of over 15% in the last month. Year-to-date (YTD), the stock has surged more than 43%, reflecting positive investor sentiment and optimism about the company’s growth prospects.
As of 9:50 am, Blue Star shares were trading 8.71% higher at ₹869.65 apiece on the BSE.
Investors should closely monitor developments related to Blue Star’s QIP and consider the company’s growth plans when making investment decisions regarding its shares.
