Kashmir-Cyber-Police Investigates Curative Survey Scam: Investors Deceived by False Promises
The Cyber Police in Kashmir has initiated an inquiry into an alleged fraudulent scheme orchestrated by a company operating under the name ‘Curative Survey Private Limited.’ The company, accused of deceiving individuals through a misleading website, allegedly defrauded people who were attracted to invest their money based on false assurances of substantial returns.
According to the Cyber Police in Kashmir, their preliminary investigation revealed that the deceptive company enticed the public to register on its website, offering partnership opportunities in surveys with promised financial compensation. However, the company reportedly halted payments to registered individuals, and its promoters and directors are said to have absconded, making themselves unreachable.
In response to the unfolding situation, the Cyber Police in Kashmir promptly filed a case, FIR No 39/2023, invoking relevant sections of the IPC and IT Act at Cyber PS Kashmir Zone in Srinagar. Further investigations and statements from victims disclosed that the company allegedly attracted individuals with promises of payment for participating in daily survey activities.

Searches were carried out at multiple locations, leading to the sealing of registered offices associated with the company. Incriminating materials, including electronic devices and documents, were confiscated during these operations.
Efforts are currently underway to identify and investigate the registered owner-promoters of the company. Additionally, the roles of local office staff and individuals promoting the schemes on social media platforms are also being scrutinized. The Cyber Police emphasized, “The public is once again reminded to exercise caution in the realm of online transactions and to thoroughly verify the legitimacy of online schemes before committing their hard-earned money. Those affected by this alleged scam are urged to share pertinent information with the investigation agency to aid in the swift resolution of the case.”
