He commended the department for its efforts in increasing the tourist footfall, surpassing 20 million visitors this year in various segments like adventure, leisure, and pilgrimages.To accommodate the influx of tourists, Dr. Abid stressed the need to diversify tourism products, explore and develop new destinations, and introduce fresh activities.

He assured stakeholders of continued support and called for coordinated efforts from all involved parties.In addressing the responsibility of trekkers, Dr. Abid urged them to show a sense of responsibility by not leaving any waste during trekking in hill areas.
