Rahul Gandhi Accuses BJP Leadership of Toppling MP Congress Government
Rahul Gandhi, former Congress president, launched a vehement attack against the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leadership, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. During his speeches at poll rallies in Vidisha and Tikamgarh districts, Gandhi accused them of orchestrating the fall of the 15-month-old Congress government in Madhya Pradesh in March 2020.
Allegations Over Viral Videos Involving Union Minister’s Son
In his address, Gandhi also brought attention to the viral videos of Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar’s son, Devendra Singh Tomar. The videos reportedly show Devendra Singh discussing financial transactions amounting to Rs 500 crore with an unidentified individual. Gandhi questioned when the Prime Minister would instruct enforcement agencies like the ED and CBI to investigate these allegations.
Congress Shares Video Clip to Bolster Allegations
Furthering these claims, the Congress party shared a video clip with the media, purportedly featuring Canada-based businessman Jagmandeep Singh, who is allegedly the individual seen in the viral videos with Devendra Singh Tomar. This move was aimed at substantiating the claims made by Rahul Gandhi in his rally.
Minister Tomar Denounces Allegations as Conspiracy
Responding to these accusations, Minister Narendra Singh Tomar took to social media to dismiss the allegations as baseless. He labeled the video involving his son as “forged” and termed the controversy a “well-planned conspiracy” by the opposition. He asserted that this was an attempt to mislead people during the election period.
