SIA Presents 3 Charge Sheet in Terror Funding Case
In a significant development, the State Investigation Agency (SIA) of Kashmir has taken a formidable step towards combating terrorism in the region. The agency has presented a charge sheet against three accused individuals in a terror funding case that has been registered at the CIK/SIA Kashmir police station. This marks a crucial milestone in the ongoing efforts to dismantle the financial networks supporting terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Accused Tied to Foreign Funding and Terror Handlers
The accused, namely Danish Ahmad Koul and Faizan Ishtiyaq Kharadi, both residents of Srinagar, have been found intricately linked to the insidious web of terror financing. The investigation conducted by SIA Kashmir uncovered their involvement in raising funds from Saudi Arabia and Muscat Oman as part of a criminal conspiracy masterminded by Pakistan-based terror handler, Mohammad Farooq Abdul Aziz. These funds were nefariously funneled to support terrorist activities within the region, posing a grave threat to peace and security.

Gathering Vital Evidence for Prosecution
The SIA Kashmir left no stone unturned in its relentless pursuit of justice. Through rigorous investigation, they managed to accumulate crucial evidence against the accused persons. The charge sheet was filed only after establishing the veracity of the allegations against them in case FIR No.09/2021, under sections 13, 17, 18, 20, 38, 39, and 40 of the UA(P)A of P/S CIK/SIA Kashmir. A supplementary charge sheet was also presented before the designated Court in Srinagar, underscoring the seriousness of the case.
Efforts to Ensure Justice Prevails
It is worth noting that another accused, Hamaad Farooq Tramboo, has already faced the presentation of a charge sheet before the court and is currently undergoing trial. The SIA has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that justice prevails in this case and that all accused individuals are brought to face the consequences of their actions.
