Enhancing Connectivity between Kotdwar and Anand Vihar Terminal
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami marked the inauguration of a new train service connecting Kotdwar to Anand Vihar Terminal in Delhi through a virtual video link. This new train service, numbered 14090/14089, offers a convenient overnight travel option for commuters between Kotdwar and Delhi, improving connectivity and accessibility.
Key Features of the New Train Service
The train, departing from Kotdwar at 22:00 hours, will reach Anand Vihar Terminal at 04:35 hours the following morning. In the return direction, the train will leave Anand Vihar at 21:45 hours and arrive in Kotdwar at 03:50 hours the next morning. The train service will include stops at Meerut City, Muzaffarnagar, Deoband, Roorkee, Laksar, Muazzampur Narayan, Najibabad, and Saneh Road in both directions.

This new train service will operate on a daily basis, providing passengers with a convenient and reliable transportation option. The train offers accommodation in the form of AC 3rd tier, sleeper class, and general class, catering to the diverse needs of travelers.

During the event, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami extended his appreciation to Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw and Indian Railways for introducing this eagerly awaited service, benefiting the people of Uttarakhand. The event was attended by prominent individuals, including Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Ritu Khanduri Bhushan, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) Anil Baluni, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) Tirath Singh Rawat, and former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Ramesh Chandra Pokhriyal Nishank, underscoring the importance of this new train service for the region’s connectivity and accessibility.
