Uttarakhand Approves 4 Percent Increase in Dearness Allowance (DA)
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has sanctioned a 4 percent rise in dearness allowance (DA) for state employees and pensioners.
The State Finance Department has issued orders, elevating the DA for employees from 42 to 46 percent.
The increase applies to those in the fifth and sixth pay scales, as well as in the seventh revised pay scale.
Earlier, the government had announced DA hikes for administrative departments in public undertakings and corporations.
Additionally, Chief Minister Dhami has announced the impending implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Uttarakhand, to be presented in the Assembly soon.
The UCC aims to apply uniform personal laws to all citizens, irrespective of religion, gender, or sexual orientation.
